This is the third interview in a three-part series. Here she describes her initiation into Mongolian shamanism – after many years of study and shamanic practice. The event took place in California when visiting shamans from Mongolia spontaneously decided that Gail was surrounded by spirits and was ready. She describes the preparations, the ritual, and the emotional impact it has had upon her subsequent life.
