Here Jeff looks back at the previous monologue and remarks that he is filled with the significance of the insight that “we can shift our consciousness with a single thought”. Considering that we each experience 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts a day, the potential for leveraging small shifts in awareness is tremendous. However, sometimes we are so attached that a single thought is insufficient to pull us out of a particular state. This is the problem that Jeff addresses now, referencing his experiences in 1969 as a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
